About Paul

Lee, Paul and TrudiPaul was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, on 20th April 1966. He was the second child of Pat, whom he loved dearly, along with his older brother, Lee, and his younger sister, Trudi. Paul started school in Belbroughton, where I first met him. He later moved on to Stourport, and eventually finishing his schooling in Hereford.

At 16, he had his first bike, a Yamaha FS1E. Our paths crossed once again, as I met and later married, his Auntie Wendy. At 17, he owned a Suzuki GP100, but was often seen riding his Uncle Gray’s Suzuki GT750. At the age of 18 he followed in his older brother’s footsteps and joined the army. After leaving the army, Paul went back to live in Hereford, and in December 1987 his son, Ben, was born.

In 1990, he came to live in Builth Wells, where he worked alongside his mom at Tyn-y-Graig Care Home. It was here he developed his love of motocross, and made good friends with the local boys who also enjoyed the sport. One of these local boys was Stuart, a keen motocross rider himself, who later was to become Trudi’s husband. Whilst living in Builth, he also enjoyed carp fishing at Llandod Lake with his brother Lee, cousin Mark, and myself. In the 1990’s Paul pursued his career at “Wicks”, where he became a competent manager. In the late 1990’s, he met his partner, Christina. For the last 12 months, Paul and Chris were working together with his mom in promoting a new community care business venture.

These brief words are just a few of the things from what I can remember about Paul’s life. I’m not too sure on the exact dates, and I’m sure someone will put me right on some of the details. I just know Paul was a kind, loving guy who had a “heart of gold”, who would always help if he could, and will be missed by all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him.
